Last year, shortly before the start of the F1 season, Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux announced the renewal of their partnership, which is firmly rooted in innovation on every level. The agreement was signed by the two leading figures of the iconic brands: Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin, and Patrick Pruniaux, CEO of Girard-Perregaux. The alliance between the two companies has given birth to cutting-edge collector’s watches of high mechanical artistry. From the very beginning, the scale difference between an F1 race car and a fine watch was never an obstacle to the creativity of both teams, since their common denominator is craftsmanship and refinement.

The collaboration between Girard-Perregaux and Aston Martin began in January 2021, at a perfect moment in time: Girard-Perregaux was preparing to celebrate its 230th anniversary, and the Aston Martin Aramco F1 team was about to unveil its new single-seater, returning to the starting grid of the world’s top motorsport championship after a 60-year absence. Since then, the Girard-Perregaux logo has appeared each year on the F1 car. At the same time, Girard-Perregaux became an official partner of Aston Martin Lagonda, present at the unveiling of the Valhalla, the Vantage F1® Edition, and the DB12, the world’s first super tourer.

In terms of watchmaking, by 2024 Girard-Perregaux had already created five exclusive editions in collaboration with Aston Martin: the Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges Aston Martin Edition and the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition in 2021; the carbon-fibre Laureato Absolute Chronograph Aston Martin F1 Edition in 2022; and in 2023, a pair of Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Editions along with the Neo Bridges Aston Martin Edition. All have showcased technological innovations in both materials and mechanics, and, as expected, all share the Aston Martin racing green. The same holds true for the three brand-new Laureato models released in 2025. Let’s get to know them.
Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition

In February, at the start of this year, the sixth creation born of the Girard-Perregaux–Aston Martin partnership was revealed. The Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition arrived just in time to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Formula 1 World Championship. A timepiece with racing DNA and a high-performance in-house “engine.”

Its 44 mm case is crafted from sandblasted Grade 5 titanium, a material extremely familiar to both the British F1 team and the Swiss manufacture. Both choose it for its low weight and exceptional mechanical strength. It is also anti-magnetic, hypoallergenic, and resistant to corrosion.

The watch was produced in a limited edition of 88 pieces. Price: €15,100.
Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition

In March came a particularly distinctive chronograph, featuring an iridescent dial made using automotive lacquer in a very special shade of green, a colour beloved by British sports cars. The dial required a demanding process involving 15 ultra-thin layers of paint and two separate cooking cycles to achieve the final effect. Remarkably, depending on how the light hits it, the dial shifts from green to a subtle orange hue, a truly unique appearance.

The Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition is also crafted from Grade 5 titanium, with satin-brushed and polished surfaces, and has a 42 mm case, 12.6 mm thick. Through the transparent caseback, adorned with Aston Martin’s metallised logo, one can admire the perfectly finished automatic GP03300-2451 movement, composed of 419 components and offering a 46-hour power reserve.

The chronograph is water-resistant to 100 metres and comes on a titanium bracelet with satin and polished links.

Laureato Skeleton Aston Martin Edition

Finally, in early August, it was time for a skeletonised Laureato to join Girard-Perregaux’s “racing” team. The third member of the 2025 trio is not crafted from titanium. Its case and bracelet retain the familiar DNA of the original 1975 Laureato model but are made from black ceramic, a material extremely hard, lightweight, hypoallergenic, and wonderfully smooth to the touch. The designers studied and masterfully played with satin-brushed and polished finishes, creating a striking three-dimensional effect.

And let’s not forget, the Laureato Skeleton Aston Martin Edition proudly bears the Aston Martin signature. Its skeletonised central hour and minute hands, as well as the small seconds hand, are all finished in a captivating green coating reminiscent of Aston Martin’s iconic Racing Green, emitting a green glow in the dark.

In the same green shade, the striking solid-gold rotor is visible on the back, driving the in-house automatic skeleton calibre GP01800. This movement is superbly finished and delivers a 54-hour power reserve.
