On Saturday, September 6, 2025, Phillips in association with Bacs & Russo brought fresh energy to this year’s Geneva Watch Days by staging a special charity auction. The result? CHF 185,900, nearly double last year’s total! Proceeds will benefit the Geneva Watchmaking School, the oldest in Switzerland and one of the most important in the world.

The Geneva Watchmaking School (l’École d’Horlogerie de Genève), founded in 1824, remains a benchmark for training in micromechanics and the art of watchmaking. Its alumni include major names such as Christophe Claret, Roger Dubuis, Franck Muller, and Rexhep Rexhepi. Auction proceeds will go to the Pierre Amstutz Fund, a non-profit organization that provides financial support to young apprentices in watchmaking and micromechanics.

In all, 19 unique items and experiences donated by exhibiting brands went under the hammer. With Phillips’ Marcello de Marco presiding as auctioneer, the room buzzed with excitement and applause. The evening’s standout? A unique, complete set of 35 Minimilian figures donated by MB&F, which sold for CHF 80,000 and stole the show.

This was the third consecutive Geneva Watch Days × Phillips charity auction, and the most successful to date. Across the three editions, a total of CHF 403,900 has been raised, with 2025 marking a record year for an initiative that unites creativity, tradition, and philanthropy.
