Roland-Garros 2025 kicks off in Paris from May 25 to June 8, concluding the European clay court season. Returning to the red clay are reigning champions and Rolex Testimonees Iga Świątek and Carlos Alcaraz, ready to defend their titles on the iconic Court Philippe-Chatrier.

Świątek’s triumph last year was arguably her most emotional. Saving match point in the second round, she went on to claim her fourth title in Paris. “It was the most meaningful title of my career,” she said, adding that playing on Philippe-Chatrier “feels like I’m inside a church of tennis.” The trophy was presented by Chris Evert, seven-time Roland-Garros champion, who called Świątek the “perfect clay-court player.”

In the men’s draw, Alcaraz returns with four Grand Slam® titles to his name, alongside 2025 Australian Open winner Jannik Sinner and challengers like Stefanos Tsitsipas, Holger Rune, Ben Shelton, and João Fonseca. Alcaraz acknowledged his team’s support, expressing pride in representing Spain at every event.

On the women’s side, Coco Gauff, Mirra Andreeva, Caroline Garcia and Qinwen Zheng aim to build on last year’s strong performances in Paris.

Since becoming Official Timekeeper of Roland-Garros in 2019, Rolex has supported tennis excellence at all four Grand Slams®. For over 40 years, the Swiss watchmaker has celebrated athletes’ enduring dedication, from legends like Federer and Evert to today’s stars like Alcaraz, Świątek, and Gauff—those who strive not only for trophies, but for greatness.
