Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025 Opens Tomorrow

The world’s largest fine watchmaking exhibition kicks off in Geneva from April 1 to April 7, 2025 — a week filled with surprises, creativity, and, of course, watches!

Starting tomorrow, the heart of the global watch industry will beat in Geneva as Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025 gets underway. The flagship event of the watchmaking world welcomes once again professionals, journalists, and – for three full days – the general public, offering a unique celebration of the art of horology.

The renowned Watches & Wonders Salon is the annual meeting point of the industry’s top names, and for one entire week, the city of Geneva will pulse to the rhythm of watchmaking. It is the largest gathering of watch brands under one roof, hosted at the Palexpo exhibition centre, where they unveil their latest creations to industry professionals, media representatives, and watch enthusiasts.

From Tuesday, April 1 to Monday, April 7, 60 watch brands will present their newest timepieces at Palexpo, while dozens more will welcome the public at their city-center boutiques. Product presentations, hands-on workshops, educational experiences, and meetings with master watchmakers and craftsmen will create an inspiring, time-driven program.

The Big Night: “In The City”

On Thursday, April 3, the program highlights the much-anticipated “In The City” evening, when watch boutiques will remain open until 9 p.m., culminating in a festive open-air concert by French electronic duo Bon Entendeur at Quai Général-Guisan. As Cyrille Vigneron, President of the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation, puts it: “Everyone should be able to experience something unique. Watches and Wonders Geneva is all about contact and emotion.”

Young People in the Spotlight

This year’s edition places a strong focus on the next generation. Apprentices, students, and young professionals will have the opportunity to dive into the world of watchmaking, explore training programs, and take part in workshops at the Watchmaking Village on the Pont de la Machine. At the LAB, young talents will showcase innovative projects, developed for and by young people, in collaboration with start-ups, schools, and watch brands.

Discovering Time Differently

At Palexpo, Swiss photographer Fred Merz presents Longitude 0°, a photo exhibition that takes visitors along the Greenwich Meridian through physical landmarks and personal stories from people living along this symbolic line.

The conference program will feature panels on emerging talents, the role of women in the watch industry, the future of the pre-owned watch market, and the efforts to recognize horology as intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO.

Culture, History, and Literature

The “In The City” program also includes free cultural events such as book presentations featuring personalities like historian Gérard Duc and author Max Lobe. At the Bio Cinema, Claude Schauli’s documentary Les Héritiers des Paysans-Horlogers will be screened, telling the story of farmers who became passionate watchmakers.
